Thank you for registering your child for summer camp at Little Leaf Art Studio. There are a lot of changes this year. I am very excited to be in my new studio at 101 S. Webb St. Hahira GA. It is my new favorite place to be. I would like to go over some of the protocols I must follow to help provide a safe environment for my students and your family.
Drop off and Pick Up: Parents please drop off your children one at a time. If someone is at the door, please stay in your car until it is your turn, or stand 6ft away from them. You can ring the doorbell, and I will open the door for you. (hand sanitizer will be next to the doorbell for you to use) Your child will come into the studio, put their lunch and belongings in their cubby, wash their hands, and sit at their desk. Because Parents are restricted from entering the studio during camp hours, I want to offer an opportunity to make an appointment with me for a studio tour before camp starts. I want to make sure that you and your child are comfortable on the first day of camp. When picking up your child, please ring the doorbell, and hold up a sign (that I will provide) with your child's name on it. I will then send your child to you. I will also check temperatures daily with a non-contact forehead thermometer. My children think it is the coolest thing, and ask me to check their temperature constantly.
What to bring: Please bring a signed copy of the photo release and liability waiver with you on the first day of camp. Please download and print out these forms. The forms can be found at the bottom of this page by clicking the red button with Photo Release and Liability Waiver on it. If you are having trouble, please let me know. Also, send a lunch, drink, and personal hand sanitizer with your child daily. I want to warn parents that we use real art supplies. That means the supplies do not wash out of clothing. I recommend sending your child in clothing that you will not be upset if they are accidentally decorated with spilled paint, ink, or glue. All of my clothes have been decorated, and I love. I am aware not everyone does.
Health: If your child is not feeling well, please do not send them to camp. If they have been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID 19, please do not send them to camp until you have a negative test result. Please teach your child the proper handwashing techniques, and how to cover their cough. Please explain the importance of keeping art supplies and toys out of their mouths at all times. I will do my best at keeping the children 6ft apart. It will help me if you explain this rule to your children before camp starts.
I know that all of these rules are a big change, and no one likes change. I appreciate your understanding and compliance with them all. I am 100% positive we will have a blast at camp and stay safe at the same time. We will still be able to play games, and bond with one another. Camp is my favorite time of the year, and I am looking forward to your kids being a part of it. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. If you want to set up an appointment to meet me and view the studio text or call me at 229-251-8843.
Thank you for the support and love,
